Here is Josh and Mishele’s story:
The one thing my boyfriend, Josh, and I don’t have in common is movies… I love them, but he could care less. When it came time to celebrate our 3rd anniversary, Josh offered to take me to a movie so of course I was excited. When we walked into the theatre it was already dark and we quickly grabbed a seat near the front. After a couple of previews I was excitedly anticipating the feature when all of a sudden there was a picture of us up on the screen instead… Josh had made a movie about us! It was titled “When Harney Met Harney” (harney is our pet name for each other, derived from honey) I was surprised and confused and delighted all at the same time! He and some of our friends acted out various scenes from our relationship, which were mixed in with picture slideshows set to music. It was crazy to see pictures of us on the big screen! I laughed watching our friends act and cried during some of the more sentimental parts as he took me on a journey of the last 3 amazing years. As the movie ended I turned to give Josh a hug, but he was already kneeling on the floor. He opened a box with a ring pop inside just as the words “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” flashed on the screen! I immediately hugged him and sobbed into his chest for I don’t know how long. Then the lights turned on and a bunch of people yelled, “SURPRISE!” I looked up to find both of our families and our closest friends all in the back of the theatre. They were there watching the whole time! Afterwards we all went to a restaurant across the way where there was a little reception waiting for us. I felt (and still feel) like the luckiest girl in the world! People often wish their lives were more like the movies… and thanks to Josh, mine really is!
